Gambia's Tourism Minister Invites Nigerians to Visit

Abdoulie Jobe, the Gambian Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, called for increased Nigerian tourism to The Gambia during an event with tourism stakeholders at the 22nd Akwaaba Travel Market in Lagos. He highlighted the strong historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties between Gambia and Nigeria, stating that tourism could enhance these connections.

Jobe expressed that The Gambia is ready to welcome Nigerians and encouraged them to view the country as a strategic tourism destination. He emphasized the ambition of fostering more business partnerships and creating economic opportunities.

Ida Geng Njie, Director General of the Gambian Tourism Board, echoed Jobe's sentiments, inviting Nigerians to discover The Gambia's hospitality, cultural heritage, and vibrant experiences. She noted that despite its small size, The Gambia offers significant opportunities for business and tourism, appealing to Nigerian travelers to explore its unique attractions.
