ADC Declares Lack of Trust in INEC for 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its lack of trust in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding the 2027 general election. This statement was made by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Wednesday in Ilorin during a walk aimed at raising awareness about the party's activities and preparations for the upcoming elections.

Abdullahi expressed that while there are dedicated officials within INEC, the party will not rely solely on the commission for the integrity of the electoral process. He cited disappointment with the outcomes of the 2023 general election as a reason for this stance, stating, “We will not make the same mistake again by relying solely on trust.” The ADC is determined to defend its votes nationwide, asserting confidence that President Bola Tinubu will lose the election, regardless of the fairness of the electoral process.

Abdullahi concluded with a commitment to protect every vote cast for ADC candidates.
