Wema Bank Plc Closed Period Notice: Q3 2026 Results Pending
Wema Bank Plc has filed a Closed Period notice with the Nigerian Exchange Limited, effective 1 October 2026. The notice prohibits all insiders and their connected persons from trading in the bank's shares until 24 hours after the release of its Unaudited Financial Statements for the third quarter ending 30 September 2026.
Wema Bank Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) of a Closed Period commencing 1 October 2026, in accordance with Rules 17.17–17.18 of the NGX Rulebook (as amended). The Closed Period will remain in effect until twenty-four hours after the bank's Unaudited Financial Statements for the third quarter ending 30 September 2026 (2026 Q3 UFS) have been published through the NGX Issuer's Portal and made available to the general public.
During this period, no insiders of the bank — nor persons closely connected to them — are permitted to directly or indirectly buy or sell shares of Wema Bank in any manner. The bank has stated that all insiders and their connected persons have been duly notified of this restriction.
The notice was signed by Johnson Lebile, Company Secretary and General Counsel of Wema Bank Plc, and was filed on 30 September 2026. The 2026 Q3 UFS, once released via the NGX Issuer's Portal, will mark the end of the Closed Period, subject to the 24-hour buffer.
