NUCECFWW Commits to Ending Worker Casualization in Kano Conference

The National Union of Civil Engineering Construction, Furniture, and Wood Workers (NUCECFWW) vows to eradicate casual labor in the industry, as stated by President Stephen Igho Okoro at their conference in Kano. The union received backing from labor-friendly governors and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

NUCECFWW emphasized the importance of workers' rights and dignity, with plans for infrastructure development and membership growth. The event also marked the commencement of a new NLC hall in Kano.

The theme of building a trade union for the future was highlighted by former Kano NLC Secretary Auwalu Mudi Yakasai.
