Anambra Declared Safest State by Governor Soludo

During a live media chat held on Friday in Awka, Governor Charles Soludo announced that Anambra State is currently the safest state in Nigeria, with no major security incidents recorded in the past four months. He highlighted that his administration has successfully dismantled 60 criminal camps across eight local government areas, significantly restoring peace.

Soludo expressed confidence in the state's safety record, supported by data, and noted an increase in visitors during the festive season. He addressed the controversial sit-at-home order previously enforced by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), stating that economic and social activities have fully resumed without disruption.

The governor outlined strategic legislative reforms introduced by his administration, including new laws targeting cultism and the establishment of a dedicated security outfit. He acknowledged the grim security situation inherited from previous administrations, particularly during the 2021 governorship elections, while stressing that achieving absolute security remains unrealistic and requires ongoing efforts.
