Iyabo Obasanjo Clarifies Political Intentions with Tinubu

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, met with President Bola Tinubu in Abeokuta to discuss her political aspirations and plans for Ogun State. During a media interaction organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, she emphasized that she is not contesting for the governorship nor seeking a deputy governor or ministerial position.

Iyabo stated her commitment to her teaching career, which she has pursued for the last three years, particularly through online technology during the COVID-19 pandemic. She dismissed speculations about her involvement in the governorship race and clarified that she has not spent billions on her political ambitions, relying instead on the goodwill of the people.

Iyabo Obasanjo expressed her intention to continue participating in politics while focusing on her professional responsibilities.
