PDP Chairman Bisi Accuses Federal Government of Militarizing Osun

Bisi, the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), stated that the situation in Osun is worse than during the military era, accusing the Federal Government of militarizing the state and suppressing the Ademola Adeleke administration. He claimed that the Federal Government has seized local government allocations, which are crucial for paying teachers, health workers, and maintaining public services.

Bisi highlighted that this seizure began nearly two years ago and has severely impacted the welfare of the people. He reported that many members of the Accord Party have been arrested, with over 40 currently detained in Abuja without charges, including Alaba Popoola, the party's House of Representatives candidate for Ijesa South Federal Constituency, who was arrested on July 25.

Bisi condemned these actions as undemocratic and illegal, asserting that the APC-led Federal Government is attempting to undermine Adeleke's administration, which is set to end its first term on November 27, 2026. He emphasized the achievements of the Adeleke administration despite financial constraints.
