Swedish Ambassador Attends NFI School Graduation in Abuja

Anna Westerholm, the Ambassador of Sweden to Nigeria, was the special guest at the graduation ceremony for Kindergarten 2 and Primary 5 pupils of the Not Forgotten Initiative (NFI) School in Abuja on July 30, 2026. During her visit, she recalled the curiosity and eagerness of the children she had met previously.

The NFI School, which has grown over the years, expanded onto an adjoining plot of land with informal permission from a neighbor. However, following the death of the landowner three years ago, the current estate representatives have requested the return of the land, threatening the school's infrastructure.

The NFI School currently serves 128 pupils, alongside partnerships with Federal Government Girls Colleges (FGGC) Bwari, Federal Technical College (FTC) Orozo, and private secondary schools, all providing free education. The school employs 14 teachers and five support staff, and many students initially struggled with English and lacked structured education.
