Adebayo Challenges Tinubu to Debate on Subsidy Funds

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has publicly challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to engage in a debate ahead of the upcoming presidential election. During an interview on TVC, Adebayo questioned the whereabouts of funds purportedly saved from the removal of the fuel subsidy and the trillions allocated for security.

He stated, “Where is the money you saved from subsidies that never existed? Where are the trillions for security?

Where is the CNG? Where is the electricity?” Adebayo criticized the leadership at the Presidential Villa and state government houses, asserting that they are significant contributors to Nigeria's ongoing issues.

He claimed that poor leadership has plagued the nation since 1999 and expressed confidence that if Nigerians elect the right leaders in the January 16, 2027, general election, they could significantly reduce banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping within four years.
