ADC Vows to Proceed with Congresses Despite INEC Uncertainty

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), through its National Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, has declared its intention to continue with its planned congresses and convention, irrespective of the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) stance on recognizing its leadership. Abdullahi's comments were made during an appearance on Arise Television's morning show on Thursday.

He stated that the party has already submitted a 21-day notice to INEC, which is a requirement for electoral processes. Despite the ongoing uncertainties surrounding INEC's recognition of the ADC's leadership, particularly in light of a court case initiated by Nafiu Bala Gomb seeking a declaration regarding the party's national chairmanship, Abdullahi affirmed that the ADC remains committed to its internal processes and will not be deterred by INEC's position.
