Yilwatda Explains APC's Lack of Board of Trustees

Yilwatda, the chairman of the APC, addressed the lack of a Board of Trustees (BoT) within the party, attributing this to the need for expanded membership and a more competitive electoral structure. He highlighted the importance of adopting an electronic registration system to strengthen party organization and mobilization.

This system aims to provide accurate, verifiable data on party members, including their locations and contact details, which would facilitate effective communication and mobilization during elections. Yilwatda noted that the APC's membership registration would be linked to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to clean and validate the party's database, eliminating duplicates and improving internal accountability.

He emphasized that direct primaries would foster a strong sense of belonging among party members, although he acknowledged that this process would not be without challenges.
