ADC Explains Atiku's Absence at G100 Summit

Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's absence from the G100 summit during an appearance on Arise Television’s Day Break program. Abdullahi clarified that the summit was organized to promote inter-party dialogue rather than serve as a platform for individual presidential candidates.

He stated, “The summit is more about conversation between political parties, rather than conversation among candidates.” Abdullahi confirmed that the ADC was well represented at the summit, with his attendance alongside four national vice chairmen. The G100 summit brought together delegates from six opposition parties to create a unified strategy to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Notable attendees included Donald Duke of the Peoples Redemption Party, Adewole Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party, and Moses Adebisi of the Democratic Leadership Alliance. Abdullahi reiterated that the ADC is open to collaboration but does not rely on a single consensus candidate for the upcoming elections.
