Barau FC Withdraws from Gusau/Ahlan Tournament Over Conduct

Barau FC, under the management of General Manager Dominic Iorfa, withdrew from the ongoing Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season Tournament due to what Iorfa described as the unprofessional conduct of the tournament organizers. This decision was influenced by a tragic incident involving a player from Katsina United.

Iorfa expressed his dismay that matches continued despite this incident, emphasizing his commitment to professionalism and sympathy for fellow human beings. He questioned the organizers for not adhering to the competition rules and fixture arrangements, specifically noting that the friendly match between Katsina United and Niger Tornadoes, where the incident occurred, should not have taken place as it was not part of the scheduled fixtures.

Iorfa pointed out that both teams were overdue for their second matches in the competition, with Katsina United having played their opening game against Wikki Tourists and Niger Tornadoes having faced Barau FC.
