Shatta Wale Reveals Rift with Burna Boy Over Rumors

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale disclosed the reasons behind the breakdown of his friendship with Nigerian Afrobeats artist Burna Boy during an episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast. He claimed that false rumors, allegedly spread by former associates, suggested he had an affair with Burna Boy's girlfriend during a visit to Ghana.

Shatta Wale emphasized that he had always been a gracious host to Burna Boy, providing accommodation and logistics during his visits. He expressed confusion over the sudden deterioration of their relationship, noting that he made multiple attempts to reach out to Burna Boy after the latter's rise to international fame, but his calls and messages went unanswered.

Shatta Wale also contacted Burna Boy's mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, for assistance, but was informed that Burna Boy was unavailable. Despite the strained relationship, Shatta Wale stated he takes pride in Burna Boy's success but is disappointed that Burna Boy chose to believe the rumors without allowing him a chance to defend himself.
