Shatta Wale Claims Rumors Ruined Friendship with Burna Boy

Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale stated that his relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy soured after his former team members allegedly spread false rumors that he had an affair with Burna Boy’s girlfriend during the artist's visit to Ghana. In an episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Shatta Wale recounted how he welcomed Burna Boy, providing him with accommodation and cars to ensure his comfort.

He claimed that after parting ways with some team members, they began making false accusations to influential people in his life, including Burna Boy. Shatta Wale alleged that these individuals told Burna Boy he was involved with the girlfriend he brought to Ghana, which Burna Boy believed.

Despite Shatta Wale's attempts to reach out to Burna Boy, including calls to his mother and manager Bose Ogulu, he received no response. While he expressed happiness for Burna Boy's success in the global music scene, he lamented that he was unable to clarify the false accusations against him.
