EU's Stance Against Trump's Iran Confrontation Explained

Rufai Oseni, a Paris television morning show anchor, stated that European Union countries are unlikely to support U.S. President Donald Trump in confronting Iran due to existing agreements that allow vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

During a program on Monday, Oseni noted that countries like France and Denmark have reportedly reached arrangements with Iran that enable their vessels to navigate the strategic waterway without disruption. He argued that these nations see little reason to support U.S. intervention, which could potentially disrupt their agreements.

Oseni emphasized that European nations are already capable of moving ships through the Strait and do not require U.S. assistance, criticizing Trump's strained relationships with European allies. He also mentioned that NATO's focus on Ukraine has disappointed some members, and he expressed skepticism about U.S. tactics in international relations, particularly regarding Cuba and Iran.
