Yobe Deputy Governor Builds Mosques, Supports Orphans

The Deputy Governor of Yobe, Gubana, has initiated the construction of 50 mosques and the marriage of 10 female orphans, aiming to bring people closer to God and support vulnerable groups. During a press conference, Gubana explained that the initiative is part of his gratitude to God for his rise from a humble background.

Currently, there are about 1,400 orphans under care, with training provided in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions. Gubana emphasized the importance of supporting the marriages of orphans to help them raise their education and called on wealthy individuals and politicians to invest in initiatives that uplift the spiritual and physical well-being of the people.

Professor Ibrahim Maqari, the Chief Imam of the National Mosque in Abuja, commended Gubana's efforts but urged for additional support for orphans, particularly in providing startup capital to help them establish small businesses and matrimonial homes.
