Sanusi Discusses Resilience After Losing Emir Position

Sanusi, the 16th Emir of Kano, addressed his composure following his removal from power during Fola Adeola's annual Ramadan lecture. He highlighted that people often mistakenly attribute their fortunes to individuals instead of recognizing the role of changing circumstances.

Sanusi emphasized the importance of resilience and faith in God to navigate challenging periods, particularly after his suspension as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and subsequent removal as Emir of Kano. He noted that he spent his time pursuing academic work to avoid humiliation and stressed that losing his position should not be viewed as the end of his life's purpose.

Sanusi encouraged individuals to remain guided by principles and maintain steadfastness in the face of adversity.
