Adedeji Olajid Announces 2027 Oyo Governorship Ambition

Adedeji Olajid, a current member of the House of Representatives and chairman of the House Committee on Digital Information and Cybersecurity, declared his ambition to become the governor of Oyo State in 2027. During a press briefing with journalists led by Akeem Aba, the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Olajid expressed his desire to serve the people and highlighted his long-standing loyalty to the state.

He emphasized the importance of continuing the development roadmap initiated by the current governor, Seyi Makinde, and pledged to focus on security, education, and economic growth. Olajid outlined plans to strengthen the state's security architecture, improve educational standards, and create investment opportunities, particularly in agriculture and trade.

He aims to establish multiple free trade zones to attract investors and boost the state's revenue. Additionally, he envisions transforming Ibadan into a major digital hub in the southwest region, leveraging his background in computer science to drive innovation in governance.
