Adedeji Olajid Announces 2027 Oyo Governorship Ambition

Adedeji Olajid, currently serving as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Digital Information and Cybersecurity, has declared his ambition to become the Governor of Oyo State in 2027. He made this announcement during a meeting with journalists led by Akeem Aba, the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, at his private residence in Ibadan.

Olajid emphasized his long-standing loyalty to the state and his commitment to prioritizing service over personal gain. With a background in computer science, he aims to drive innovation and implement a development roadmap that builds upon the current administration's efforts under Governor Seyi Makinde.

Key priorities include enhancing state security, improving educational standards, and creating investment opportunities, particularly in agriculture and small to medium enterprises. He also plans to establish multiple free trade zones to attract investors and boost the state's revenue, positioning Ibadan as a major digital hub in the southwest region.
