Desmond Elliot Seeks Fourth Term in Lagos Assembly Elections

Desmond Elliot, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Surulere Constituency I, has declared his intention to seek a fourth term in the upcoming 2027 elections. He emphasized his ambition to become a principal officer in the assembly and urged for support, particularly in light of a viral video that indicated intimidation during his campaign.

Elliot noted that he would not step down, asserting that the stakes are too high and expressing confidence in securing a significant number of votes in the May 21 primary elections. He referenced Psalm 121 to convey his faith in overcoming internal battles.

Additionally, he publicly apologized to Femi Gbajabiamila, his political mentor and the Speaker of the House, for any misunderstandings that may have arisen from his political activities, which reportedly caused tension within the assembly.
