Oluyede Backs Tinubu's 2027 Bid, Calls for Unity

Dr. Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party's governorship candidate for the June 20, 2026 election, held a meeting with Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Lagos, where he expressed his readiness to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign in 2027. In a statement released in Ado Ekiti on Friday, Oluyede described the Lagos meeting, which took place on Thursday, as a follow-up to an earlier visit from Oyebanji on June 21, the day after the governorship election.

Oluyede, who leads the Oluyede Progressive Alliance for Renewed Hope Agenda (OPARHA), emphasized the importance of unity and collective action among political leaders across party lines. He stated that public declarations of support must lead to grassroots mobilization.

Oluyede plans to lead campaigns across all 16 local government areas in Ekiti, engaging political leaders, traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, women, professionals, and business owners to secure a decisive outcome for Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election. He urged all political stakeholders in Ekiti to unite for the state's contribution to the President's re-election.
