Namda Rejects Gubernatorial Candidate Imposition in Adamawa

Hon. Namda, a former chairman of the House Committee on Army and a member of the National Assembly for eight years, asserted that the imposition of a gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State will not be accepted.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after submitting his nomination form in Abuja, he stated that the political landscape requires that individuals prepare to contest rather than rely on consensus. Namda emphasized that there will be no imposition of leadership, allowing for public representation and participation in the electoral process.

He noted that the party leadership at both the national and state levels assured that no imposition would occur. Meanwhile, Dr.

Sani Abdulahi Shinkafi, a senatorial aspirant for the Zamfara North district, insisted on adopting a direct primary mode for elections, arguing that proper representation is essential for attracting federal government projects to the region.
