NNPP in Kano Denies Kwankwaso as Party Leader Amid 2023 Presidential Candidacy Speculations

The NNPP in Kano has explained that former Governor Kwankwaso is not the party leader, with the incumbent Governor Abba Yusuf insisting that Kwankwaso will contest for the party's presidential candidacy in 2023. The party's vice chairman, Sani Danmasani, clarified that Kwankwaso's association with NNPP ended after the expiration of the memorandum with the Kwankwasiya Movement.

Danmasani also urged Kwankwaso to refrain from using NNPP's name in his political activities. Additionally, he highlighted that President Bola Tinubu is not responsible for the nation's current challenges.

The NNPP hopes that ongoing judicial reviews will prompt INEC to update its records accordingly.
