NNPP Vice Chair Asserts Abba Yusuf, Not Kwankwaso, as Legitimate Leader Amid Political Alliances Dispute

The NNPP's North-West vice chairman, Sani Danmasani, clarified that Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, not Rabiu Kwankwaso, is the legitimate leader of the party as per NNPP's constitution. Danmasani highlighted that Kwankwaso's ties to the party expired with the Kwankwasiya Movement's memorandum.

He emphasized that any discussions involving Kwankwaso in forming alliances under NNPP are illegitimate. The party's founder, Boniface Aniebonam, and board members have nullified any such arrangements.

Danmasani also called on the media to refer to Kwankwaso as the former senator and former Kano governor, not as NNPP's 2023 presidential candidate.
