Raul Asencio to Miss Start of LaLiga Season Due to Injury

Raul Asencio, a 23-year-old centre-back for Real Madrid, is set to miss the start of the 2026/27 LaLiga season due to a muscle injury in the thigh of his right leg. Real Madrid announced the diagnosis in a statement on Thursday.

Spanish reports indicate that Asencio will be out of action for a period of four to six weeks. This injury will affect his availability for the team's opening matches, which include a fixture against Espanyol on 22 August, followed by games against Real Sociedad on 26 August and Malaga on 30 August.
