ADC Accuses Wike of Election Rigging Plot in Rivers

The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), represented by Publicity Secretary Chizy Enyi, has alleged that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is involved in a scheme to manipulate the forthcoming elections in Rivers State. Enyi claimed that Professor Princewill Chike, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, is part of this alleged plot.

He stated that Chike is affiliated with the Rainbow Coalition, a political movement linked to Wike. Concerns were expressed regarding Chike's potential influence in selecting returning officers for the elections, with Enyi asserting that those nominated would likely be members of the coalition.

Enyi pointed out that Chike's association with the coalition is evident at the university's entrance, where a signpost identifies him as part of the "Academia Rainbow Coalition of the Renewed Hope." Enyi challenged Chike to prove the allegations wrong when the time comes for appointing returning officers, questioning his motives in Port Harcourt.
