PDP Denies Alliance with APM, Disowns Ibadan Gathering

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), supported by Nyesom Wike, issued a statement denying involvement in a purported alliance with the All Progressives Movement (APM) during a political gathering in Ibadan, Oyo State. Abdulrahman Moham, representing the PDP's national working committee, addressed the media in Abuja on Thursday, clarifying that the party is not part of any coalition agreement with APM.

He described the event in Ibadan as misleading and unauthorized, asserting that individuals claiming to act on behalf of the PDP did so without the party's knowledge or consent. Moham criticized Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for attempting to associate with the PDP through misleading narratives.

He stated that the gathering was merely a celebration of Makinde's political movement rather than a legitimate political alliance. The PDP reaffirmed its commitment to participating in the 2027 general elections and urged the public to disregard false claims and propaganda regarding its political stance.
