Wike Sets 2026 Deadline for New Judicial Projects

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, announced a deadline for the completion of judicial projects during a tour of ongoing developments in the territory on Thursday. The projects include a new District in Waru Pozema, which will feature 10 duplexes for the Federal High Court, 20 duplexes for the FCT High Court, and 10 duplexes for the Court of Appeal.

Wike revealed that the completion date for these projects is set for May 2026, coinciding with the third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu's administration. Additionally, Wike stated that the Federal Capital Territory Administration will provide the necessary infrastructure for the newly opened Waru Pozema District, enabling residents to begin development.

The FCT Administration will consult with the Federal Capital Development Authority to determine the next steps, including whether the projects will be included in the 2026 budget. Wike assured that all required infrastructure will be provided for the district.
