Nyesom Wike Inspects Satellite Town Roads in FCT, Promises Completion

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State inspected satellite town roads in the Federal Capital Territory, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to develop a resilient road network. He highlighted the strategic importance of road infrastructure beyond the city center, focusing on long-neglected areas like Karu.

Projects, including the reconstruction of roads in Karu, were awarded to indigenous construction firms like Abdul Val Construction Company. Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of work delivered by these firms.

He also addressed delays in critical projects like the Apo-Karshi road, emphasizing the need for urgent intervention. The Bwari-Kubwa road project, described as vital for economic growth, is being undertaken by SCC Construction Company.

Wike's visit also involved addressing management issues along the Orozo-Karshi road and issuing warnings for non-compliance. The timeline for project completion was stressed, with residents expected to benefit within a year.

Wike's commitment to infrastructure development and labor issues was evident throughout the inspection.
