Governor Wike Threatens FCT Coordinator Over Uncollected Refuse Dumps

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State gave a stern ultimatum to Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, the FCT Coordinator of the Satellite Town Development Department, regarding uncollected refuse dumps in the Federal Capital Territory. During an inspection tour, Wike expressed dissatisfaction with the presence of heaps of waste in various areas like Karshi, Bwari, and Kubwa.

He emphasized the need for proper waste disposal to complement ongoing development projects. Wike warned that neglecting duties related to waste management would result in serious consequences, urging urgent action to address the refuse dumps along key roads.

He stressed the importance of maintaining a clean environment to enhance infrastructure development and improve living conditions in satellite towns. Wike reiterated his commitment to delivering visible results under the "Renew Hope Agenda" while ensuring environmental sanitation as a crucial aspect of urban development.
