Wike Calls Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso 'Liars' Over Primaries

During a monthly media briefing in Abuja, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, criticized opposition leaders Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, labeling them as liars. Wike accused these figures of misleading Nigerians with promises of political reform and criticized the internal contradictions and lack of credible democratic processes within their parties.

He specifically targeted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), alleging that they present themselves as alternatives to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) while failing to conduct credible primaries without controversy. Wike raised concerns about the ability of these parties to provide better leadership, describing the NDC as a "dead party" and the APC as "rotten." He emphasized that Nigerians should be aware of the insincerity of opposition politicians, stating that they are known to deceive the public.
