Wike Affirms PDP's Role as Nigeria's Main Opposition Party

On Friday, Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, visited the renovated national secretariat of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) located at Wadata Plaza in Abuja. During his visit, he met with members of the party's National Working Committee (NWC) and congratulated the party leadership on their efforts to stabilize the PDP amid ongoing internal crises.

Wike pledged his support for the party and reassured the NWC members of his loyalty, emphasizing the importance of unity to ensure the success of future elections. He highlighted that the PDP must work diligently to reposition itself as the leading opposition party in Nigeria, stating that achieving this goal would require significant effort and sacrifice from all party members.
