Wilfred Ndidi Named Besiktas Vice-Captain in Leadership Reshuffle

Nigerian footballer Wilfred Ndidi has been appointed as the vice-captain of Besiktas, a Turkish football club, following a leadership restructuring. The club announced the change in an official statement, thanking the previous captain Necip Uysal and goalkeeper Mert Günok for their years of leadership.

Ndidi, who joined Besiktas recently, will now serve as the deputy to the Turkish international Orkun Kökçü. Besiktas currently sits sixth in the Turkish Super Lig table and will see Ndidi in action as vice-captain for the first time in their upcoming match against Gençlerbirliği.

The club expressed confidence in Ndidi's ability to guide the team to success.
