Windstorm Causes Damage to Abuja Bus Terminal and Bridge

On Tuesday, a windstorm struck Nyanya, Abuja, causing minor damage to the Kugbo bus terminal and a nearby pedestrian bridge. The storm occurred during heavy rainfall earlier that day.

Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant for Public Communication to the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, confirmed the incident in a statement issued via X. Preliminary reports indicated that there were no injuries or damage to vehicles as a result of the windstorm.

Olayinka emphasized that law enforcement personnel have been deployed to ensure the free flow of traffic in the affected area. Following the incident, the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike ordered immediate action to repair the damage caused by the windstorm, highlighting ongoing efforts to address the situation effectively.
