Gov Bago Orders Repairs at NYSC Camp After Windstorm

On a Sunday night, Governor Umaru Bago issued a directive for the immediate repair of buildings at the NYSC Camp in Minna that were damaged by a windstorm. The incident was described as unfortunate and worrisome, particularly for the corps members at the camp.

Governor Bago highlighted the necessity of prompt repairs to ameliorate the situation and allow the orientation camp to continue smoothly. He commended an assessment team, which included state government officials and the Director General of NYSC, Brig Gen Olakunl Olusey Nafiu, for their efforts.

The team is tasked with collaborating to provide temporary accommodation for corps members at a nearby secondary school. The affected structures include the male corps member hostel, multipurpose hall, kitchen, and staff quarters.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the windstorm.
