Work To Resume Wednesday As LASU Unions End Strike

LASU unions have ended their strike, with work set to resume on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025. The decision came after a meeting between the Joint Action Committee and the school management, following discussions with Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr.

Obafemi Hamzat. The Senate of the institution approved the resumption of academic and social activities across the university.

Students are expected to return to hostels on campus in Ojo, Ikeja, and Epe. Second-semester examinations, which were previously suspended, will commence on Monday, August 18th, 2025.

The strike was initially declared on August 2nd, 2025, by the staff unions, leading to the suspension of activities. Students have been advised to prepare adequately for the upcoming examinations.
