João Cancelo, a 31-year-old former Manchester City player currently with Barcelona, has identified Portugal as one of the favorites to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He emphasized the importance of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is part of the squad, in leading the team towards victory.

Portugal is placed in Group K for the World Cup and will face teams such as Colombia and Uzbekistan. Cancelo made these remarks following a 0-0 draw against Mexico in an international friendly match held on Sunday.
