NOA Urges Parents in Akwa Ibom to Protect Children with Vaccines on World Immunization Day

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Akwa Ibom State, led by Director Mkpoutom Mkpoutom, emphasized the importance of immunization on World Immunization Day. Stressing the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing diseases, especially in children aged 0-59 months, data from the World Health Organization showed that immunization prevents millions of deaths globally each year.

The theme for this year's campaign is "Vaccines Protect the Future Together," highlighting the need for collective investment in vaccination programs to ensure no child is left behind. The NOA is intensifying grassroots sensitization to boost participation in immunization programs and combat misinformation.
