Team Nigeria Wins Silver and Bronze in Mongolia Wrestling

At a wrestling championship held in Mongolia, Team Nigeria achieved notable success, winning one silver and two bronze medals. Hannah Ojo competed in the 76kg category, showcasing an impressive performance with a 10-0 victory against Mongolian wrestler Tuvshinjarg Tarav, leading to a semi-final clash with India's Priya, whom she defeated 5-1.

However, Ojo's run ended in the final against Kajal from India, where she lost 0-8, securing a silver medal. Esther Kolawol, competing in the 62kg category, also made a significant impact by overwhelming Huan Yang from China with a 10-0 victory.

Kolawol later faced Amina Tandelova, a Russian world number, in the bronze medal match, winning 6-0, but lost narrowly to Kim Ok Ju from North Korea, a world silver medallist, with a score of 4-5. Overall, Team Nigeria concluded the tournament ranked with three medals, comprising one silver and two bronze, with four female wrestlers representing the country in different categories.
