Nigerian Youth Leaders Demand South Africans Leave by July

During a press conference in Abuja, Hon. Comrad Ez Onyebuchi Chukwu, the chairman of the Progress Grand Alliance (APGA) and a representative of the Forum Nation Youth Leader, urged South Africans living in Nigeria to leave the country by the end of July.

This call was made in response to perceived discrimination against Nigerians by South Africans, which Chukwu described as "afrophobia" rather than xenophobia. He emphasized that Nigeria has historically supported South Africa, particularly during the apartheid era, and condemned the current treatment of Nigerians.

Chukwu stated that South Africans should return home by the end of July 2026, warning that failure to do so would result in consequences for their presence in Nigeria. He expressed disappointment with the South African government for not addressing these issues adequately and highlighted the need for African unity.
