Xi Jinping Advocates for Stronger China-Egypt Ties

On Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping urged for deeper cooperation between China and Egypt during discussions with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Xi highlighted the importance of mutual support in building a China-Egypt community amid global challenges.

He noted Egypt's historical significance as the first Arab and African nation to establish diplomatic ties with China in 1956. Over the past seven decades, the two nations have developed a comprehensive strategic partnership characterized by equality, mutual trust, and win-win cooperation.

Xi emphasized the need for high-level exchanges and collaboration in various fields, including infrastructure, agriculture, and technology. He also called for enhanced security cooperation to combat transnational crime and support anti-terror efforts.

Furthermore, Xi proposed strengthening multilateral collaboration through platforms like the United Nations and BRICS, advocating for joint opposition to unilateralism and promoting regional security and development.
