Xi Jinping and King Abdullah II Strengthen China-Jordan Ties

On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with King Abdullah II of Jordan in Beijing, calling for a deeper alignment of development strategies between China and Jordan. Xi emphasized that cooperation should focus on traditional sectors such as economy, trade, infrastructure, and mining, while also fostering growth in the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green energy.

He noted the mutual respect and equality that have characterized the diplomatic relationship since its establishment, highlighting the strategic partnership announced in 2015. Xi stressed the importance of enhancing strategic mutual trust and intensifying multilateral coordination to advance their partnership, contributing to regional peace and stability.

He affirmed China's support for Jordan's sovereignty and development interests, proposing strengthened exchanges at all levels. King Abdullah II acknowledged China's achievements under Xi's leadership and reaffirmed the strong strategic partnership between the two nations.
