Yamal and Guler Shine as Top Chance Creators in Europe

In the 2026-27 season, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona and Arda Guler of Real Madrid have emerged as the leading chance creators in Europe’s top five leagues. Yamal leads the ranking with 30 key passes, while Guler follows closely with 28 key passes.

This ranking, published by Planet Football, measures key passes, defined as the final passes before a teammate takes a shot at goal. Yamal, at just 19 years old, has made a significant impact at Barcelona through his dribbling and contributions in the final third.

Guler has also shown his ability to unlock defenses with incisive passing, although he has only two assists from his 28 key passes, indicating some missed opportunities by his teammates. Other notable players include Inigo Vicente with 25 key passes, Giacomo Calo with 24, and Paulo Dybala with 23.

The rankings highlight the importance of creative players early in the season, with Yamal and Guler expected to be closely watched as the campaign progresses.
