Nollywood Stars Attend Ogogo's Eighth-Day Prayer in Ogun

On August 30, 2026, veteran Nollywood actors Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, and Faithia Balogun, among others, gathered at the Stadium in Ilaro, Ogun State, to participate in the eighth-day Fidau prayer for the late Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. The event was attended by family, friends, and numerous guests, as captured in videos shared on Instagram by EmiraltyAfrica.

Ogogo passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66, and was buried in his hometown of Ilaro on August 24, following Islamic rites. His daughters, Kira and Lima Taiwo, were also seen at the ceremony, commemorating their father's legacy and the impact he had in the Nollywood industry.
