Yobe Agency Launches Campaign to Attract Investors

The Yobe State Agency for Public-Private Partnership and Investment Promotion (YAPPPIP), directed by Dr. Aliyu Isah Chikaji, is launching an aggressive campaign to attract local, national, and international investors to Yobe State.

On June 15, 2026, in Damaturu, Dr. Chikaji outlined the agency's strategic vision to create a conducive and secure environment for investment, aligning with Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration.

The agency aims to facilitate private sector participation in financing, developing, and maintaining public infrastructure and services. YAPPPIP serves as a regulatory and coordinating body for public-private partnership transactions in the state, focusing on sectors such as agriculture, mining, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

The agency provides robust investor support services, including advisory services and land facilitation. Dr.

Chikaji announced the commencement of a geological mapping exercise aimed at reviving companies across the state, with specific targets for job creation and socio-economic development. He emphasized Yobe's recognition as a rapidly growing commercial state and the government's commitment to reviving non-functional state-owned companies.
