Yobe State to Complete N22bn Damaturu Flyover by May

The Yobe State government, under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni, is progressing towards the completion of the N22 billion Damaturu flyover, expected to be finished by May 2025. Umar Wakil Dudday, a representative from the state's Ministry of Planning and Research Statistics, disclosed this during a media tour of the project site.

The flyover project, awarded to Triacta Construction Company on February 21, 2025, is designed to improve traffic flow and road safety in Damaturu, covering a total length of 6.6 kilometers, including green areas. The project is currently at a 96% completion rate, with asphalt and drainage work already underway.

The Yobe State government has paid 50% of the mobilization fee, with subsequent payments based on certified work done. The project is anticipated to significantly transform the infrastructure landscape of the state capital.
