Ganduje Responds to Kwankwaso's Political Comments

In a statement issued on Friday, Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, responded to recent comments made by Kwankwaso, recalling their political relationship and the support he provided during Kwankwaso's early political career. Ganduje noted that no politician rises to prominence without assistance from others, highlighting his mentorship and support for Kwankwaso during his tenure as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

He referred to Kwankwaso as his "political boy," emphasizing their collaborative efforts from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2011 to 2015. Ganduje criticized the introduction of a "boy-master" narrative in contemporary political discourse, urging leaders to focus on governance and development instead of fostering division.

He also cited the example of current Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who once served as Kwankwaso's personal assistant, to illustrate the evolution of political relationships over time.
