Tinubu's Aide Blasts Atiku Over Age Claims

On Friday, the Presidency responded to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar's claim that President Bola Tinubu is 90 years old and sick, labeling Atiku as a desperate individual "under the spell of marabouts." Temitope Ajayi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, stated that Atiku's remarks during a BBC interview were indicative of a failing campaign and described them as the "last kick of a dying horse." Ajayi criticized Atiku for focusing on Tinubu's personal life instead of addressing pressing national issues, suggesting that such behavior warranted psychiatric evaluation. He challenged Atiku to present evidence in court to support his claims about Tinubu's age, referencing Atiku's previous unsuccessful legal attempts against Tinubu in both Nigeria and the United States.

Atiku, who is nearing 80, dismissed concerns about his age affecting his ability to govern, asserting his health and strength.
