Presidency Responds to Atiku's Age Claim Against Tinubu

Temitope Ajayi, the senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu on media and publicity, addressed claims made by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, who alleged that Tinubu is 90 years old during a BBC interview. Ajayi dismissed Atiku's assertion as the "last kick of a dying horse," suggesting it stemmed from Atiku's desperation to become president.

He criticized Atiku for focusing on Tinubu's personal life rather than campaign issues affecting Nigerians, stating that such claims are ridiculous. Ajayi accused Atiku of using personal attacks to divert attention from his inability to effectively communicate his stance on fuel subsidy.

He urged Atiku to go to court and present evidence of his claims, referencing Atiku's previous failures in court against Tinubu in both Nigeria and the United States during the last election cycle.
